The Marion  County Recreational  Railroad is operated by the Marion County Railroad Authority, a group of  civic-minded individuals who love their community and its h1story.  The history and development of Marion County and Columbia are rich with stories of the railroad industry and train. It is the intent of the  MCRA , through the operation of the Recreational Railroad, to  preserve this heritage and ensure that future generations come to appreciate and love this history, as well.
